Should I use AI for customer research?

What to hand off, what to protect, and where to step back in.

AI is genuinely good at part of this job and genuinely useless at another part, and the line between them is not where most teams draw it. The split is not hard versus easy. It is volume versus judgment. Anything that is grunt work at scale belongs to the tool. Anything that requires a person in a room with another person does not.

Go through your own research process and put each task on one side. Any row your team argues about is the row worth arguing about.

What you get

  • A two-column worksheet: what to hand off to AI, what to protect
  • Three checkpoints where the tool hands back and you have to decide
  • A place to work through your own research process, task by task

Where should we send it?

One email with the worksheet. You can unsubscribe from anything else in one click.
