Who to train first

Do not spread training evenly across a whole team hoping it sticks somewhere.

Only the people who are excited about evolving their roles and new ways of working should receive any sort of training. Find the people already frustrated with the status quo.

Give that motivated, half-ready group a little more skill and a little more time, and you can hand them a real measure of success.

Everyone else is not a training gap. They are simply not the first move, and become the case for the rest of the team once the first group has a visible result.

What you get

  • A triage table for the whole team, scored on frustration with the status quo rather than seniority
  • A note on why the comfortable majority is not a failure to fix immediately
  • A prompt for what you'll give the checked group, and by when
